I'm trying to narrow down where the problem is without actually having access
to a Mac.

Some of the Safari specific JSNI problems have been resolved in the latest
download.
There remains an issue with elements (or their ancestors) have "display: none".

For the time being the working demo has been changed from a TabPanel to a
VerticalPanel so all the drop targets are visible. Once I get a proper Safari
fix
I'll revert the demo back to a TabPanel.

Filed http://code.google.com/p/google-web-toolkit/issues/detail?id=724 for this
issue.

Much thanks to Danilo R. and Antoine B. for much of their time debugging this
issue.
Also, thanks to http://www.browsrcamp.com/ for some very much needed VNC time on
Safari (Antoine, thanks for the idea in the first place!)

Until GWT Issue #724 is fixed you can workaround this issue by including the
following file in your project so that it overrides the GWT class in
gwt-user.jar:
http://gwt-dnd.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/DragDrop/patches/com/google/gwt/user/cli
ent/impl/DOMImplSafari.java

Note: You may have to delete the '.gwt-cache' directory so that the GWT compiler
detects your modified 'DOMImplSafari.java'.
