Yeah, so I suppose you've changed the style of the virtual DMD to green?

Those settings don't apply to real DMDs. What should work is creating a palette file set to green (a .pal file, created by the PIN2DMD editor), place it into the altcolor folder of VPM in a folder named by how the FP game is called (it's printed in the log).

Thanks for this quick lightning answer !!!!
Yes I tried many different styles (blue, red, gold...) even without glow but always this orange display.
So with your solution I wont be able to change style (font, glow, outline,...) but only color of letters ?
Always better than this boring orange.
I must admit I never heard of Pin2DMD editor, I'll try to figure how to use it.
Thanks. I'll post a feedback.

Hum... I didn't find how to create a simple pin2dmd.pal file with just green colors.
But I have a little pal file with my Big bang bar table with a green dominant, a tiny 4 kB file so it should be ok.
Then I don't know where is FP log file to know how the game is called. I tried with the name of fpt file but it doesn't work.

The "FP log file" is what's printed in the console when you run dmdext.exe.

Hello Freezy,
I know this issue is marked as closed, but I followed the steps you outlined and it doesn't work.
I used the pin2dmd.exe tool to save a palette as pin2dmd.pal.
Then I checked my palette by putting it in the VPinMame\altcolor folder for a VPX game and it worked right away.
Then I started a Future Pinball table via the Pinup Popper frontend by passing the game name and parameters to dmdext.
Inside the altcolor folder I created a folder named after the Future Pinball game name and placed my palette pin2dmd.pal in it.
The dmdext log file gives the Future Pinball game name and shows no errors. But unfortunately my PIN2DMD does not accept the palette.
Is there something I'm missing?
Should I find a note in the log that Altcolor is being used?
I would be very happy about an answer! Tia!
