How is this functionality enabled/used in Xee3RC2?

Hello Paracel…

Can you explain your answer? "Browse menu" doesn't show a recursive directory
scanning. For reference, recursive directory scanning means that Xee would
show images not only from the parent directory, but from the contents of any
sub-folders therein.

It's the "Include images from folders" option. I agree it could be better
named, though I'm not sure how many people are familiar with the word
"recursively".

This is a feature I requested a while ago, which has now been implemented - and
is my favourite :)

However, for me at least, it's quite unstable, and crashes rather often when
browsing a folder tree randomly (which is how I often like to browse my image
collection)

Perhaps there is not enough memory allocated / not dynamically allocated when
building this tree?

Without some information about the crash, I can't do anything about that.

This is a great feature and the main reason I upgraded to 3.0. Hasn't crashed
on me yet. I will be using it frequently. So frequently that it would be nice
if the choice persisted across launches so I don't have to keep choosing the
command every time I load a multiple level folder.

It should persist for a given folder. Keeping it on all the time is a bit
dangerous since you might open a high-level folder and it would just sit there
loading files for a long time.
