Please try this: #16 (comment)

I tried that (logging out, deleting cache, and logging back in) several times and it's not fixing the issue. FWIW - I have my account setup with 2-factor auth. the alfred workflow seems to take that into account when signing in, but I don't know if that's maybe throwing things off.

Also, I'm using the latest of Alfred: v2.1 (218) and here's the info on the gh extension:

from alfred-github-workflow.

gharlan avatar gharlan commented on July 24, 2024

And is it the latest workflow version?

I can't reproduce that. Enabled 2-factor auth, deleted cache, re-logged in, and I'm still seeing private repos of organizations I belong to.

starzonmyarmz avatar starzonmyarmz commented on July 24, 2024

it appears to be the latest version of the workflow... I originally installed it last week, and have done gh > update several times today. I'm able to use https://github.com/search without any issues.

starzonmyarmz avatar starzonmyarmz commented on July 24, 2024

Even tried deleting the workflow completely and reinstalling.

gharlan avatar gharlan commented on July 24, 2024

Ok, than you have the latest version, of course ;)

What is the result of this test? #16 (comment)

I can see the private repos when making the http request, but not when running the command in my terminal.

from alfred-github-workflow.

gharlan avatar gharlan commented on July 24, 2024

And can you see them in the result of this terminal command?

curl -b ~/Library/Application\ Support/Alfred\ 2/Workflow\ Data/de.gh01.alfred.github/cookies https://github.com/command_bar/repos_for/YOUR_ORGANIZATION

from alfred-github-workflow.

starzonmyarmz avatar starzonmyarmz commented on July 24, 2024

no i cannot

gharlan avatar gharlan commented on July 24, 2024

Hmm, but does the cookie file exist?
~/Library/Application Support/Alfred 2/Workflow Data/de.gh01.alfred.github/cookies

starzonmyarmz avatar starzonmyarmz commented on July 24, 2024

Yes it does exist

gharlan avatar gharlan commented on July 24, 2024

Hmm, I suppose you can see an active session for alfred-github-workflow here: https://github.com/settings/security?

And I suppose the result of this command contains your starred repos?

curl -b ~/Library/Application\ Support/Alfred\ 2/Workflow\ Data/de.gh01.alfred.github/cookies https://github.com/command_bar/repos

from alfred-github-workflow.

starzonmyarmz avatar starzonmyarmz commented on July 24, 2024

The only active activity regarding the workflow is user.two_factor_requested:

and that curl command returns an empty json object:

{"results":[]}

gharlan avatar gharlan commented on July 24, 2024

Oh ok, so you don't see this in the section above?

sessions

If you just type gh (with trailing space) in Alfred, do you see your starred repos?

from alfred-github-workflow.

starzonmyarmz avatar starzonmyarmz commented on July 24, 2024

No I do not see a session for alfred-github-workflow and when I type gh (with a trailing space) I see this:

gharlan avatar gharlan commented on July 24, 2024

Oh ok, so the login failed, but for any reason the workflow thinks it succeeded..

Do you use 2FA by SMS or app? Did the workflow show the input for the security code?

from alfred-github-workflow.

starzonmyarmz avatar starzonmyarmz commented on July 24, 2024

I got it working! I'm using 2FA with the app (Google Authenticator iPhone app), but until your last comment I totally forgot about that app. It is showing the input for the security code. I was using one of the several codes in the text file that Github provides as a backup. Seems like those should work too since they're backup codes, but that's probably Github's issue more so than yours.

Thanks for taking the time to help me!

from alfred-github-workflow.

gharlan avatar gharlan commented on July 24, 2024

@starzonmyarmz Thanks for your feedback! I improved the login check, so it should not happen again, that the workflow says the login succeeded while in fact it failed.
