Could you test if everything works with the recommended replacement package? It looks like just a rename.

+1 for this issue. I was going to update my main project to use php-amqplib/php-amqplib but since celery-php stilll wants the videlalvaro version, gets complicated

If you want to speed it up, fork the project, see if the tests run correctly with the suggested replacement php-amqplib, send a pull request if the tests pass

That is fixed in celery4 branch of the project.
