Hi! Thanks for the report.

The book says "This is similar in functionality to the same operator in Elixir or F#.", not that it has the same functionality. I think we could expand upon the pipe operator though, breaking it into its own page with more detail.

@lpil Want me to take a shot at this?

I would attempt to cover:

  • piping vs nesting function calls (for starters)
  • default position vs using the _ (discard/placeholder/insert/wildcard-operator?) operator
  • 2 brief examples piping into anon functions and piping into case
