I don't think it's a soldering problem.
I think you should try today's alpha, assigner and tuner were greatly improved since beta 1, and maybe the problem you had with it got fixed. Anyway, you can now defeat any voice, so at least it would make the synth usable...
Also, are you sure this oscillator works with the Z80?
