I'm also seeing this on the 0.8 version for a project created under 0.7.6,
Successfully found a workaraound by deleting the project (leaving the content on disk), followed by recreating the project from that directory.

I don't think this issue applies anymore to the current version (even back then it might have not been valid).
Projects created under 0.7.6 are not compatible with 0.8.0 due to an internal change. It was mentioned in the 0.8.0 release that previous GoClipse projects would have to be recreated.
