It might be nice if they were also in a more central location, such as under https://github.com/golang /cc @nf.

How is that more central, though? They're all just a "go get" away.

I'm one of administrators on this repository. Are you thinking you'll start to make example repository similar to this? Or you want to make them on here?

I started golang-graphics in an attempt to bring together all the gopher graphics, especially vector formats, to encourage fair use and visual creativity/uniformity in the Go community. (Right now, finding high-quality or vector Go graphics is kind of tricky, and not all of us have the skills to draw them!)

We already have a pretty good start to the collection. It's just convenient to be able to have a repository of graphics to pull from when making a Go-related app or site. The single gopher vector that's in this repository would make a nice addition.

@mattn I just realized I didn't really answer your question directly. No, I don't plan on making another "examples" repository -- I am just trying to collect Go graphics into a single repository so that they are easier to find and browse and be inspired by.

If I have your permission, I'd be willing to add the files to that repository for you and provide due credit, of course.

By more "central" I think I meant more "official", but just having the sources linked from the Wiki would be good enough for me.
