Missing Montserrat Weights about fonts

Any news on this? Certain marketplaces only allow fonts from Google's CDN and not having all the weights is a huge problem. Thank you!

Montserrat is now updated with a full set of 18 styles.

If it's that much of an effort can Google not have a Montserrat 2.0 and keep them both running parallel. Been waiting over a year for this, losing hope 👎

@alerque I submitted pr #465 today.

We've made a queue because we're also working on our tooling. We have fontbakery and other tools to help us ensure the quality of what we're releasing is good. If we discover problems in one font, there's a high probability it's happening in all of them as well.

Any news about this? I don't understand if those weights are missing for a "bug" or it's a Google choise and we will never see them on Google Fonts.

@dangelion Well, according to the author's repository this issue is getting some traction: JulietaUla/Montserrat#2

The missing font-weights (as well as variants) are popping up on the sandbox, which presumably means they'll end up on the live version, sometime.

You should not use the sandbox; the server is not provisioned for 3rd party usage.

The fonts available there have some inconsistencies with the fonts in production, so have not been pushed all the way through yet.

Am only meant to use googlefonts and am currently using them @fontface its going to be incredibly messy when I have to launch this website template. Looks like this issue was logged over a year ago. Whats the progress?

What exactly does the author need to do to push this through? A lot of us out here would be willing to contribute if we know what needed to happen, but the responses to this issue have not give us anything we can work off of. What can we do? Is this held up on Google's end or is there something a font author or contributor could contribute?

It is in the queue.

I asked about this on the related issue, but it wasn't explained there either if there was anything an outside party could do to help this clear the queue.

@evromalarkey We might be early for the party. Again the process is pretty opaque because we don't know what's going on in "the queue". The extra font weight have been in the Github repo for some time but aren't served from the Google fonts system yet. I just looked and still don't see this there, so it must still be in "the queue". Whether the i/j thing was what was blocking it or not we haven't been told.
