Yes, I would split the italic and roman into 2 different Glyphs source files, as that's what Eben Sorkin did for Merriweather: https://github.com/SorkinType/Merriweather

Hello @ThanosPoulakidas, thank you for you contribution!
I reviewed quickly the font files, and I noticed a few things that could be improved in order to onboard it on GF.
- First, there are some issue with accents alignement in italic:
-
Accents need to be automatically aligned, and have to use combaccents (for Agrave for instance, components have to be A + gravecomb).

The glyphset looks ok, only the commaacentcomb is missing.
-
In the roman version, the outlines are quadratics instead of cubic:

I don't really know to be honest.
Anyway, I managed to export the fonts in local, so it will not cause any trouble.

@ThanosPoulakidas Your approach to font development is... unconventional, to say the least.
Anyway, both Geom and Geom Italic do have a public repository and are licenced under SIL OFL without a reserved font name. Awesome!
But, while Geom Roman has the Glyphs source file, I cannot find the same for the italic. Please release the source for it to be considered by the Google Fonts team.
The name might be an issue because as mentioned previously, a commercial font uses it. However, it does seem to pass the namecheck nonetheless.
Google will probably merge the repositories if this gets accepted, but that's purely at their discretion.

I was having a problem with source file, now I have updated
As for the Italic, I didn't make them on the original because I haven't heard an answer on them yet.
Should I add the Italic version on the Roman Version with different files for Roman and Italic?

That's much better.
Still needs some improvements, especially for accents:
- the macron is missing
- you need to make the automatic alignement works for accents. For this, you have to you anchors and create composites.
(uncheck "disable automatic alignement" in font infos>other + cmd+U on all comb accents and base glyphs + "create composites" for all accented letters).

I have updated the files to the original repo but there is a problem in the build phase.
Could it be the changed config at the sources file?
