Addendum: in the audit results, show an info bar of some kind noting the scope of the audit and reminding the user how to change it.

Some comments from others:
"I'd say it'd make more sense to include in the context menu or a button in the accessibility panel in order to specifically run an audit. Maybe with the option to make it sticky until reset? I can just see the risk of running the audit on a dialog and then running an audit again with another piece of the UI in mind." (Unfortunately this UI not possible with the current devtools API.)
