We might get pushback on this one. 13px is Google's standard font-size.
@peterlubbers can you check with Zhu on this and the black/blue link issue.

Well, and my argument is lessened by the fact that this text you are reading right now is 13px Helvetica. GitHub! I guess all developers are supposed to be young…
I'll code to 13px for now. We can always embiggen the content text size later if others agree. Meanwhile, all the header, footer, nav stuff can be based on 13px. I am going to set the base font for the page to 16 (and then override) so that we can set our media queries in ems based on base-16, instead of base-13. The math on base-13 would be a real PITA. (I'm talking about using this technique: http://blog.cloudfour.com/the-ems-have-it-proportional-media-queries-ftw/ so that the page resizes properly when people do make the text bigger manually.)

It's looking like this:

The other thing to dust might be the color. This #777 grey is very light for long passages of body copy. It's beautiful on chrome.com, where people are only reading two sentences at a time. But for these long passages, it adds to the lack of readability.

We got a lot of feedback on html5rocks that copy was too light. That I
think we should tweak if needs be. You're right that we have way more text
than chrome.com.

There's nothing more to be done for this. Just something to keep thinking about. If it's a problem, I'm sure it'll come up again in testing.
