Leader election about metacontroller

As a Metacontroller instance handles multiple composite or decorator controllers, HA support is vital.

We can also let the users choose whether they want to enable HA or not when they create multiple Metacontroller instances (although I don't find any reason for not enabling HA).

As this issue has low priority, we can wait till the leader election API becomes beta before working on the HA feature. I am interested to design and implement the feature when the time comes!

Regarding the leader election alpha API, I was told that there is no active work for moving the API to beta. I will try to get a confirmation about this.

Is there any update on making metacontroller statefulset highly available?
I updated the statefulset replica count from 1 to 2 and things seem to work. Is there any guidance around this?
