This is working as intended. There's no harm in adding that for debugging, but Glass itself does not use the action.MAIN/category.LAUNCHER intent filter.
A better solution would be when you create a new run configuration for an application, select the activity that you want to start from the configuration dialog presented there, instead of letting it run default. It will remember this option for all future runs.
