It is almost meaningless to use VK_PIPELINE_STAGE_TOP_OF_PIPE_BIT as the srcStageMask in a barrier about anvil

My suggestion for the change, which seems to work on my machine.

For the transition to final image layout:

srcStageMask = VK_PIPELINE_STAGE_HOST_BIT | VK_PIPELINE_STAGE_TRANSFER_BIT;
srcAccessMask = VK_ACCESS_HOST_WRITE_BIT | VK_ACCESS_TRANSFER_WRITE_BIT;

dstStageMask = VK_PIPELINE_STAGE_ALL_COMMANDS_BIT;
dstAccessMask = VK_ACCESS_SHADER_READ_BIT; // Determined by Anvil from final image layout

Read this as "Any host writes or transfer writes must be complete and visible before the transition starts, and the transition must be completed and visible before any stage anywhere accesses this image as a readable texture"
