It's not fixed at all... caret still disappear when dd the only line.
just open an empty file and 'esc' 'dd'. try it.

Are you installing the .sublime-package or pulling from source? I believe Bitbucket is causing some trouble here...
FWIW, it works fine here. I'll upload the latest .sublime-package again.
