Be able to configure Source Map Directory about gulp-coffee

You can use gulp-if (or any other flow control library) to configure the output directory based on file extension

var gif = require('gulp-if');

gulp.task('coffee', function () {
  gulp.src('./src/*.coffee')
    .pipe(coffee())
    .pipe(gif('*.coffee', gulp.dest('./public/')));
    .pipe(gif('*.map', gulp.dest('./public/maps/')));
});

In gulp this kind of stuff is done externally. Plugins don't manage it.

Your solution works for moving files to the correct location; however, the sourceMappingURL embedded within the *.js files will be incorrect.

/*
//# sourceMappingURL=script.js.map
*/

and the file and sources embedded within the *.js.map files will be incorrect.

@CaryLandholt for everything. The plan is that all plugins will output inline sourcemaps, then this other plugin will split them into files if needed and you can control where they go.
