The navigation element is supposed to use the "desktop" navigation on iPad by default. The majority of the sites that we, ourselves, have built (a ton of them) look great on portrait iPads without using the mobile navigation styling. The great thing about being built with Sass is that, if it doesnt work on YOUR project, you can simply change the variable within var/_settings.scss and have it work the way that you prefer. We do not plan to change the default presentation of the navigation on portrait iPads as we believe that the majority of websites built with Gumby 2 look great on iPad out of the box as it is now. However, those who DO wish to use the mobile nav on portrait iPads can simply change the variable in var/_settings.scss (no need to rebuild via the customizer).

Thanks for your input!
