Questions about the future of ReadyMap web control about godzi-web-control

Development of the plugin control is driven primarily by customer funding when available. There are some upgrades scheduled for the near future including making sure it works with the latest osgEarth. This will include some API upgrades as well. Ideally we'd like to make the Plugin API and the ReadyMap SDK API compatible -- we've even discussed merging the two projects to facilitate this. But there aren't any hard plans to do that yet.

FireBreath: I dont' know much about it, but what would be the benefits of porting?

FireBreath: One benefit is that it supports multiple platforms (for example MacOSX), the other is CMake support.

License question:

Is the following allowed: Let us assume i want to make a new osgEarth Plugin with for example Firebreath and i want get "some" code of this project from interface like that from "GodziWebControl" or "api" directory to do this. I know, normally it is not allowed.

Would this "new plugin" remain open source? If so, you can fork the Plugin on github and keep it public. Then we can merge you changes back in once they are done.

A second option would be to add you on as a collaborator (with commit access) once the port is complete.

I guess it depends what your end goal is. But we're open to collaborating.
