If ffmpeg doesn't yet support this then it's a non-starter as we use them for decoding so I'll make this as an upstream enhancement request.

3D is pretty dead these days so I'm not hopeful that there will be much interest in it.

Now that the popular Apple iPhone 15 Pro can make Spatial Videos it may well turn out that an increase in 3D videography will manifest. That is certainly why my interest is piqued in Spatial Video. We can share our stereo home movies with all of our friends and family who own VR headsets. But the single tool for iOS called Spatialify is not enough. We need a more diverse toolset running on more platforms.

I haven't. It's not something I personally would spend the time looking into to be able to give them a workable request. Will leave that to an interested party.
