It looks about right.. Ask your user to visit that URL ($linkedIn->getLoginUrl()) in order to let him/her give your application a oAuth token of theirs.

thanks, actually my application is a background process, which searches for users on linkedin by matching name for which user interactions. Is it possible using HappyR, i have provided appId and appSecret. I think the OAuthKey and Oauthkey secret generated by LinkedIn can be used for this. Any Idea?

To my surprise I found that you should not use OAuth User Token and OAuth User Secret for that. (Reference) These are meant to be used for testning and are tied to your account, not the application.

Any how... You should do something like this:

$predefined= 'OAuth User Token'
$linkedIn=new HappyR\LinkedIn\LinkedIn('app_id', 'app_secret');
$linkedIn->setAccessToken($predefined);

I'm not sure if you should construct $predefined in a more clever way to be able to use it as an access token. There is very little documentation about this on http://developer.linkedin.com and some of it is even outdated...

If you find anything relevant, please post it here and we can try to find a solution to your problem.
