analyzing-nyc-high-school-data icon analyzing-nyc-high-school-data

In this project we explored relationships between SAT scores and demographic factors in New York City public schools. For a brief bit of background, the SAT, or Scholastic Aptitude Test, is a test that high school seniors in the U.S. take every year. The SAT has three sections, each is worth 800 points. Colleges use the SAT to determine which students to admit. High average SAT scores are usually indicative of a good school.

building-a-spam-filter-with-naive-bayes icon building-a-spam-filter-with-naive-bayes

In this project, we're going to build a spam filter for SMS messages using the multinomial Naive Bayes algorithm. Our goal is to write a program that classifies new messages with an accuracy greater than 80% — so we expect that more than 80% of the new messages will be classified correctly as spam or ham (non-spam). Please watch the follow youtube video for more info about the Naive Bayes Theorem. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O2L2Uv9pdDA

clean-and-analyze-employee-exit-surveys icon clean-and-analyze-employee-exit-surveys

In this project, we'll clean and analyze exit surveys from employees of the Department of Education, Training and Employment (DETE)}) and the Technical and Further Education (TAFE) body of the Queensland government in Australia. We'll pretend our stakeholders want us to combine the results for both surveys to answer the following question: Are employees who only worked for the institutes for a short period of time resigning due to some kind of dissatisfaction? What about employees who have been there longer?

covid-project-sql icon covid-project-sql

For this project, the data was extracted from information related to COVID19 cases updated by Friday the 13th, 2021. Info was downloaded on the website: https://ourworldindata.org/covid-deaths The data was split into two tables focused on info regarding deaths and vaccination data

creating-a-kaggle-workflow icon creating-a-kaggle-workflow

In this project we're going to explore a workflow to easily compete in the Kaggle Titanic competition, using a pipeline of functions to reduce the number of dimensions you need to focus on.

finding-the-two-best-markets-to-advertise-in-an-e-learning-product icon finding-the-two-best-markets-to-advertise-in-an-e-learning-product

In this project, we'll aim to find the two best markets to advertise our product in — we're working for an e-learning company that offers courses on programming. Most of our courses are on web and mobile development, but we also cover many other domains, like data science, game development, etc.

guided-project_-finding-heavy-traffic-indicators-on-i-94 icon guided-project_-finding-heavy-traffic-indicators-on-i-94

In this project, we're going to analyze a dataset about the westbound traffic on the I-94 Interstate highway. The goal of our analysis is to determine a few indicators of heavy traffic on I-94. These indicators can be weather type, time of the day, time of the week, etc.

In this project, we will try to predict the total number of bikes people rented in a given hour using a data collected by Hadi Fanaee-T at the University of Porto. To accomplish this, we will create a few different machine learning models and evaluate their performance. ou can download the data from the University of California, Irvine's website.

predicting-car-prices icon predicting-car-prices

In this project we will practice some machine learning workflow to predict a car's market price using its attributes.

predicting-house-sell-price icon predicting-house-sell-price
