Do you mean like with herbstclient set update_dragged_clients 1?

Yes thats the one, thanks @The-Compiler. Helpful when you want to remove borders in some applications, real-time view helps. Can we add this to http://herbstluftwm.org/faq.html since this is not an issue?

Generally, I prefer not to add the explanation of single settings it to the FAQ. In my opinion, the FAQ is the place for questions which aren't directly answered by the plain api documentation (i.e. manpage), but whose answer combines several parts of the api and exploits their interaction. For instance the present question could have been answered by man herbstluftwm | grep -C1 resize, so I don't see the need for a FAQ-Entry.

But to make it clear: You are absolutely welcome to open issues in case of questions! :-) (and in addition to that the #herbstluftwm IRC channel on freenode and the mailing list are further platforms for question asking).

Great :) The thing is I didn't spent much time with the man or didn't feel that I could find the correct word to search for. "resize" is what I should have searched for!
