Transparent backgrounds about xyz-maps

will be included in upcoming release:
"The alpha blending has been revamped to enable the map to display with a transparent background, allowing the remaining browser content to show through behind it. See backgroundColor"

Just out of curiosity, may I ask why instead of using MapLibre, xyz-maps isn't being utilized to represent the "basemap"?

Why? Because I have an existing basemap style (for MapLibre) that's not available as raster tiles and which is too complicated to translate. I'm using the xyz-maps Editor component w/ an IMLProvider to support editing while keeping the basemap as context and as "a" reference (which won't necessarily be synced on data versions, but that's ok).
