"Alternative fonts" don't carry many common glyphs about hexchat

Ms gothic is not default font on XP as you need to install it manually (thru regional settings) - and on vista/7 meiryo is default font for cjk, i don't remember what bviktor set in alternative fonts (i've my own list) but it's actually up to you what do you want to add - not all people have installed support for asian fonts (win xp). I don't know about what arial you're talking about (i know that arial unicode ms is not on xp - but can be installed by installing office for example) but if it is unicode ms it has most of the glyphs - same for lucida - if you're talking about 'sans unicode' or 'console' they both have a lot glyphs. I've in my alternative list only code2000/2001/2002 and unifont because my main font is dejavu sans mono so i don't have to worry about unicode glyphs.

Though Eustachy already pointed out that you are free to add it manually, so be it, added it to the default list.
