Indeed this is a bug. I overlooked that the method with signature 'long' is since API level 19. Will be fixed ASAP.

Currently only available for 1.1.0-SNAPSHOT, not published on Maven Central yet. I'm going to publish version 1.0.1 within the next days. If you need the fix right now, please build from source or download from sonatype-oss

That brings me to a question I had when first downloading this lib. I chose the basic jar, but was wondering if I should have downloaded the "-with-dependencies" version?

"-with-dependencies.jar" includes org.json. I wouldn't recommend using this jar, especially not when you are on Android where this library is already included in the SDK. When you use Maven or Gradle as your build-system, there is absolutely no need to think about "-with-dependencies.jar".

Sorry, I have no clue. Look into the history of your source code versioning system (Git?)
