I've made a fork that fixes this issue. It also automatically tries again when a failed auth attempt occurs.

Hi @mobitar thanks for opening an issue - I've recently been added as a collaborator to this repo and am getting up to speed on the different issue. Would you like to make a PR for the patch you mentioned? (We'll probably also need a similar android patch to merge it.)

Hey @phillbaker, unlikely to get a chance to submit a PR anytime soon. The current code has also grown a bit custom based on our needs. I think the best solution is to just copy/paste code as needed, especially anything related to FaceID, if that hasn't been implemented yet.

@mobitar to clarify - the passcode/pin fallback on iOS is for the device passcode. So it wouldn't be for the app password.
However, it sounds like we should distinguish between the failure to authenticate and the device not supporting.
