How to set the android:inputType in xml? about textfieldboxes

I've reconstructed the relationship and separated the EditText from the TextFieldBoxes in release 1.3.0, so you can directly do what you want to the separated ExtendedEditText in xml or code.

This is customizing EditText, so you are supposed to do it in Java.

Really? Ok.
But that will move aspect settings from the xml to the code.
And then, in each of the forms I need to look in the xml and in the code to understant the basics of how was that edit text designed.
For that, google added the inputType xml option.

How so? I tried txtField.getEditText().setInputType(InputType.TYPE_TEXT_VARIATION_PASSWORD); but no luck. It's setting the input type but not hiding my text as it's supposed to do
