It's a HomeKit limitation, not really the plugin's. I've got this on my backlog though and you should see something in the future. I have no earthly idea why HomeKit doesn't want to let you create an automation based on a ring event...I suspect it's an oversight on Apple's part, but it's on the radar. Thanks!

@ghenkhaus A little surprise for you in v3.4.0 that I just released - enjoy. Closing this one - it's been implemented.

@hjdhjd I just upgraded to homebridge-unifi-protect2 v3.4.0 and updated my config to enable the contact sensor

            "controllers": [
                {
                    "address": "10.0.3.3",
                    "password": [redacted],
                    "username": "homebridge"
                }
            ],
            "options": [
                "Enable.Stream.High",
                "Doorbell.ContactSensor"
            ],
            "videoProcessor": "ffmpeg",
            "platform": "UniFi Protect"
        },

After a homebridge restart I am still not seeing the sensor available. Can you point me in the direction of what I missed? Scratching my head.

I do however see the Doorbell Message feature (so I know im on the latest version). Cool feature!

Please open a new issue for this. Thanks.

Never mind...I figured it out. The option is Enable.ContactSensor. I got a little confused from the readme https://github.com/hjdhjd/homebridge-unifi-protect2/blob/master/docs/Doorbell.md#doorbell-rings where it states Enable the Doorbell.ContactSensor Feature Option in the plugin configuration. Otherwise, it is correct in the option flag documentation. Thanks!
