@vincent-hui - The most striking difference (I just looked at his code very briefly) is that mexplus requires more overhead than mexutils because mexplus keeps C++ instances within C++ and Matlab accesses them via session ID. mexutils on the other hand converts the raw pointer to an 64-bit int and let MATLAB class to manage it. So, I suspect mexplus is more foolproof but a little slower.
