Using hb-config to update to v14.17.3 should also fix the issue.

Unfortunately for me the previous solution of running "sudo apt-get update && apt-get upgrade" has not worked. I've not yet found a solution other than just starting over with a new image.

Edit: Running "sudo hb-service update-node" seems to have resolved the issue. I suppose I'll just use this command from now on rather than hb-config.

A manual update to v14.17.2 worked well after a fresh image.

This worked for me too - for some reason npm was not in node_modules so the hb-config upgrade failed.

The 14.17.2 binaries have not been built by Node.js yet:

https://unofficial-builds.nodejs.org/download/release/v14.17.2/

You can repair your install by running:

sudo hb-service update-node 14.17.1

I've opened this issue to track it:

Can confirm it worked.

A patch to prevent this from reoccurring has been added to hb-config. You can update the tool using the "Update" option.

@oznu This same issue just occurred again after using "sudo hb-config" and the update node option in the prompt. I am using the latest version of homebridge and config-ui-x as well. Repairing node using the command you suggested above (but for 14.17.4) did resolve the problem.

@dlhall111 - did you update hb-config as per #55 (comment)?

Also, your trying to update minutes after a new node release is pushed. You need to give it a few hours for the Node team to actually finish compiling the armv6 binaries.

@oznu Apologies, when I originally read that comment I (for whatever reason) thought you were referring to an update to config-ui-x rather than hb-config. I’ve just updated hb-config.

And I’m running an iOS widget that displays status info about Homebridge which includes push notifications for plugin and node version updates. I guess I tend to update fairly quickly when notified but now that I’m running the latest hb-config and have your comment above about waiting a few hours I’ll be sure to not shoot my own foot off again in the future. :)
