Is IE a requirement? Just kidding. It's probably some issue with the VML code. Any additional insight you can provide would definitely help. Are there any error messages?

Haa haa, so true! Sadly people who are using are going to use IE to some extent. No error messages seem to be occurring that I'm aware of.
I also have another chart if you guys want it that uses the same techniques you do for other chart types (unrelated). It's a stacked pie chart type that stretches appropriately. It's a little rough around the edges and would rewrite some of it for github peeps. Just thought I'd through it out there.

I finally got around to downloading an IE 8 VM, and have been updating the earthquakes example to work in IE 8. I noticed one issue with the DataLayer class in IE 8, but RegularPolygonMarkers seem to work fine as far as panning goes. I definitely had to include the leaflet.ie.css file to even get things to show up, but I'm assuming you're already including that. Are you using RegularPolygonMarkers or another marker type?
We're always open to community contributions, so feel free to send out your new marker type or initiate a pull request.

I found out it had to do with bootstrap v3 not working well with the leaflet css for IE 8 and IE 9 (I believe..)
As you have it in the examples it works, but if you upgrade both to the current build - the panning fails.
I seriously don't know why anyone uses IE8 or IE9 unless it's forced on them.
Thank you for all your help!

Glad things are working. Is this still a problem, or can I close it? What did you have to do to fix the Bootstrap v3/Leaflet CSS issues - just for future reference.
