loader

I have rescued the first loader that we took for uploads sections and I have made an animation for this story: https://github.com/huridocs/uwazi-assets/tree/master/30_loading_document

I've been fighting with some CSS issues on the prototype that needs to be checked while implementing the loader throughout the app, but I didn't solve it 100% because I don't know how do you go to implement this in React.

@konzz @daneryl we can make a call when you get this story and we will watch it together.

We've been discussing about having a global loader so whenever there is an ongoing request the loader is working. @danicatalan what do you think of that?

danicatalan avatar danicatalan commented on May 27, 2024

Sure! I think the loader that I uploaded suits well for now.

If you want to simpliticate the load action througout the app, we can put the loader in a front layer - overlaping all the window. Is it what you mean?

Yes. And always in the same visible position.

@txau take a look at https://github.com/huridocs/uwazi-assets/tree/master/30_loading_document

I've moved it outside the document to simplify the implementation and make it more reusable. Now we can use it in every page, not just in doc viewer.

I made it in CSS too, deprecating the old GIF.

@dani Same as #7. Is the right moment to design a global loader?

danicatalan avatar danicatalan commented on May 27, 2024

I would keep it until we decide to have another one. This is very basic but works in a lot of context, like in the header, inside a button or a card... and that has a lot of value.

Ok. Go for it then. Wanna move it to dev or can you implement it yourself?

from uwazi.

danicatalan avatar danicatalan commented on May 27, 2024

I don't know how to trigger the event while loading the document, so lets move it to dev and I will talk with them if they have any doubt about it.
