@Linux-Error

I figured it out, thanks though!

should tell people what the problem was, and close the issue. (GitHub etiquette)
in this case it was you using python 3.x instead of python 2.7.x (but you already knew that)

@cheesemagic good to see you offering help to others after i helped you :)

why are you using python 2.7 in the first place, pip doesn't even go back to python 2.7 so installing packages does not work, which means I can't install PIP for python2.7

@FloweyProgramer
Python 2.7 seems to be the only version that works for CEVidium. You can install packages still. I don't remember how because I did it last year, but I do know that it works.

@FloweyProgramer
Pip does work I believe, that's how I installed packages needed. this project is just old that's why python 2.7 is used and not python 3.x. no-idea behind the motivation beyond that.

ah yeah forgot about that, when I was last using it pip still worked (somewhere last year indeed). in that case you will need to install dependencies manually. don't know how to do that out of the top of my head but I'm sure the internet has solutions for that.

edit: on top of that this is now an new issue and not related anymore to your original opened issue, might want to consider closing this one and opening a new one. (dependency issue instead of build (syntax error) issue.
