Hi, I met the same issue when passing bounding box to ipd.Icesat2Data function, numpy.float64 data type breaks the input check on spatial extent, the problem was solved after I converted all numpy.float64 into python floats.

Hello @facusapienza21 - apologies for the delay. One of the items at the top of my to-do list is updating and clarifying the contributor instructions, which should be accurate if you replace "master" with "development" wherever the master branch is referenced. Would you mind trying to follow this workflow and letting me know which steps need more information or where you run into trouble?
