What is the error you are getting and what IDE is that?

Syntax error on token "function", Identifier expected It does not actually break anything, it's just a red underline with a message and that's it. The only thing that doesn't work anymore are some automated features such as the formatter which handles my linting for me.

The IDE is Eclipe Mars with Eclipse's PHPDT and Eclipse's JSDT installed, it works wonderfully well and allows me to keep all my projects in one IDE and also provides a simple Git interface for the most common actions. http://puu.sh/dnq47.png

I know I'm a bit of an odd one out here using Eclipse for web development, but it's hard to kill your own baby man

Well most importantly, I would like to follow the standard and best practises rather than possible glitches in IDE's or linters. I just had a look at the reserved keywords list for javascript (http://www.w3schools.com/js/js_reserved.asp), and it is indeed recommended to not use the function keyword. I'll pull your request, thanks!
