The difference is deliberate but lazy - when adding the antialiased version I wasn't sure how to handle non-integer endpoints. You're right that they should (and can be made to) match though, so thanks for raising this issue.
I think that breakage is fine at this stage, as long as we follow semver.
More examples and tests would be great, thanks! Please raise more issues if anything looks odd or is harder to do than it should be.
