prefixed's Issues

More user-friendly way to select users, groups, and forums in ACP

When you are adding/editing a prefix, you can specify who can use it and where it can be used. Right now it's not userfriendly because you have to find the ID of the user/forum/group and enter it in a certain format (comma-separated).

I plan to add multi-select from groups and forums, similar to in other parts of the ACP/forum, and an auto-complete textbox to specify usernames that show up as "tags" in the text box (sort of like StackOverflow does with tags on its posts).

For the latter I'll need to investigate how the current autocompletion is implemented so I can piggyback off of that.

ACP settings

Hi,

i can read that this extension doesn’t have any setting in ACP, but in languages keys there are.

Is the readme hasn’t been updated or the languages keys are useless ?

Making prefix mandatory

Is there a possibility to make the selection of a prefix mandatory to create the topic, the same as title and text are always required?

Thanks in advance!

Search, sort, and filter by prefix

Right now there are a few sort/filter options on viewforum. My current thoughts are that for filtering I can make the prefixes links that result in showing only the topics in the current forum that have the selected prefix. For sorting, it would be another dropdown at the bottom of the topic list. As for search, that would be a multi-select on the advanced search page that would allow you to further hone your results based on whether the prefix has one or more of the selected prefixes (I haven't decided if it would be best for it to be AND or OR logic, or perhaps a boolean to determine which).

Add some labels and/or instructions on the posting form to make it more user friendly and explain how to use the sortables.

Suggested by t_backoff, there should be some text describing each of the sortables, and I'm thinking it might be good to have some instructional text as well, such as "Drag from the left box to the right box to add a prefix. Drag prefixes within the right box to reorder them. Drag from the right box to the left box to remove the prefix." I'll need to decide on exact wording and proper location for these.

Set prefix available for all forums?

Is it possible to a prefix to be available for all forums a user has access to? instead of manually typing in every forum I have (there's quite a few of them)

Click on prefix to add it

I have a suggestion: to just be able to click on a prefix to add it instead of having to click and drag. This would be especially helpful for those on tablets and smartphones.
