Upgrading from 1.90.2 to 1.98.2 gives error about immich

Thats quite a jump you are doing. Please carefully read the https://github.com/immich-app/immich/releases/ page, there were some breaking changes introduced in versions between your version and the newest version.

https://github.com/immich-app/immich/releases/tag/v1.95.0 is probably the biggest change. Follow the breaking changes steps there. But make sure you check the other breaking changes too.

I did those changes as you can see in my docker-compose.yml, right? I did review all the breaking changes and applied them.

The jump is indeed quite big... I didn't want to update at all, but I want to use the app, so I guess I need to update.

A total shot in the dark, but you have "registry.hub.docker.com" in your image lines. Maybe it's just not required anymore, or maybe it makes a difference. I'm not sure, but it's something to try. The most recent .yml samples don't include that.

Agree that it is quite the jump. My suggestion would be to revert to 1.90.2, then update one or two minor versions at a time. Patch versions can just be skipped though, though.

I removed the DB and started over. I will keep it up to date from now on.
