Looks like wrapping the call in our own Promise.race to do timeouts might not be necessary on React Native shortly.

Will add this: My assertion that it was a JavaScriptCore issue was wrong. Looks like the XMLHttpRequest is actually implemented by React Native and it defers to okhttp on android, and standard ios networking libs on ios.
So there's a chance at getting the right error reason bubbled up! 🎉

The react native timeout feature landed in master. Waiting for release.

Between Axios 0.12, React Native 0.25, and apisauce 0.2, we're now able to detect timeouts and networks reliably.
