Annotations at Kubernetes level are a map where values must be string. Therefore, values must always be passed as string and values such as true, 2 and others must be quoted.

This is not related to telegraf-operator, but a generic way in which Kubernetes works.

        telegraf.influxdata.com/metric-version: 2

to

        telegraf.influxdata.com/metric-version: "2"

?
