There are plans! Things have been just a bit hectic with work lately, haven't had a chance to work on nPool. Will take a look at it this weekend. I was thinking about using NaN to help with the incompatibilities, but I really want to keep my dependencies down. Since I'm not doing too much fancy stuff with the V8 engine I might spin my own abstraction layer.
We shall see, but I definitely do plan on supporting >= 0.11.x!

Are there known issues with running it in an environment > 10? Or do we just assume it'll break?

Will not compile. >= v0.11.x uses the latest V8 engine which had API breaking changes.

Version 1.2.0 now supports Node.js 0.10/0.12 and latest stable IO.js!
