## Migrate test suite from PHPUnit 9 to PHPUnit 11 Follow-up to https://github.com/inpsyde/Wonolog/pull/132#discussion_r4082379493 ### What Bump `phpunit/phpunit` from `^9.6` to `^11` for both unit and integration tests. Update the tests and `phpunit.xml` configuration to match. ### Why - **PHP 8.2 is now our minimum** (#130), which is exactly what PHPUnit 11 requires. The main blocker for the upgrade is gone. - **PHPUnit 9 is at end of life.** Staying on it means each future upgrade gets bigger. On 11 we're one step from 12. - **Better deprecation and warning reporting.** We can limit reports to our own code (`<source>`) and track existing issues with a baseline. This helps catch problems early on new PHP versions, like the PHP 8.5 deprecation we just hit in CI. - **Native attributes instead of docblock annotations** (`#[DataProvider]`, `#[CoversClass]`, ...). IDEs and static analysis understand them, and typos fail loudly instead of being ignored. - **Consistency with other packages** that have already moved to newer PHPUnit versions as part of the same migration effort.
