Sorry this is not intended for portfolio management; that extends into buy/sell/multiple purchases details. But you can use template to create custom sensor.

Thanks for you answer. Template sensors would work fine technically but not practically when your dealing with many symbols together with the flex-table-card. I'm trying to bend it a bit by adding extra attributes via customize.yaml and shares works fine but somehow calculations (shares*regularMarketPrice) don't seem to be supported in customize. I might end up forking your component...

Agreed.
I myself was capturing and doing some custom calculations. Plus the fact that my count was dynamically changing due to auto-investment of dividends made it very custom. I opted to do this outside through AppDaemon and some of it available here (StockAggregator).
I also use a combination of auto-entities to decide which stock entities to include in a card and then display additional info via custom-secondary-info which supports templates.
