@warsamebashir, That's a good use case. When I was first thinking about waitOn I wondered whether a futures like api would be better. Still not sure so thoughts welcome. I decided to keep it simple and just work with anything that has a ready method, and piggy back on reactivity. So if you wanted to wait on a Session value being set you might do something like this:

CustomHandle = {
  ready: function () {
    return Session.equals('someKey', 'someValue');
  }
};

Thoughts?

@cmather , This would work in the mean time. The call back style of the 'Futures API' would also be nice as i could 'waitOn' data from an external service using an AJAX call
