I see this lib today and all test are green.
Do you need another help with this lib?

obs: About the tests, thank you and well done.

Where this works for JavaMoney, we should consider doing the same for UOM ;-)

@keilw what is UOM?

keilw avatar keilw commented on August 17, 2024

Units of Measurement, the project around JSR-363 (like JavaMoney does for 354;-)

At UOM we have a snapshot repository directly under GitHub (inspired by Opower making their JScience 5 fork available the same way) but BinTray.com sounds like a good alternative, and if you can create one repo per project or organization, that should work even for snapshots. And milestone releases ideally go to MavenCentral, too.

I already have setup something similar for the java-config experimental
repo. I try to copy the stuff over to the money build (should be easy):

It's not really an alternative to say BinTray, but if you automated some of the builds in java-config to automatically drop a JAR into that "embedded" repository, it would sound good for JavaMoney and (for the automated part) UOM, too.

@atsticks It's not a good idea to use github as maven repository here explained why http://stackoverflow.com/a/22210816/1049542

For broader reuse I agree. The "embedded" solution would only work for small, possibly short term solutions, fixes or patches (see the Opower one to JScience which should otherwise come from its author;-) not a regular stream of daily builds of an API. UOM uses a snapshot repo hosted by GeoAPI for its daily builds of the API, not the embedded GitHub repo which I only deploy some JARs to make build of say demos easier without having to compile everything.

Do any of you (other than @stokito whom I already invited;-) have a Bintray account?

Could you register one?

The first artifacts of javamoney-lib are on JCenter already. Might need @atsticks' help to sync with Sonatype (at least for additional SonaType accounts to gather right to deploy/sync) but it should work, there, too sooner or later. The job of "deploy to maven repository" is done already on JCenter.
