For context - which version of MuseScore are you using?

To see a new plugin after it has been copied into the Plugins folder MuseScore does need to 'reload' the plugins. Which it will do on each new startup of Musescore. So if you close Musescore and reopen it that will do it.

I am still using Musescore 3.6.2; tho I have tested the plugin with Musescore 4.1 and it works. However, the new look of the plugin manager in 4.x is such that it doesn't show my plugin's name in it's display of available plugins. So the plugin may be there, but not obvious. If you have some untitled plugin icons on the 4.1 plugin manager screen you can single-click on them to see the description and use that to identify this one, then go ahead and enable it. (This does tell me that I do need to learn what they did in 4.x for the plugin names and fix mine, or make a 4.x specific version.)
