Another thing I like about being explicit is it is easier for folks to add their own apps setting the correct options as they will have working examples to follow. With the initial jx-apps.yml of
apps:
- name: jenkins-x/tekton
- name: jenkins-x/jxboot-helmfile-resources
- name: bitnami/external-dns
namespace: foo
which uses magic defaults from the version stream etc, folks need to go to the website to work out the keys + values they need to provide. This way it is clearer for people to get started.
Kind of related but not for now, it would be nice to have IDE completion on a jx-apps.yml like the jenkins-x.yml file and also a generate option that resolves all hidden values like the jx gitops apps resolve suggestion.
