Can utilize one or a combination of these

    # remove apostrophes
    suggested_bhd_filename = suggested_bhd_filename.replace("'", "")

    # remove all special characters from the filename
    suggested_bhd_filename = re.sub(r"\W", ".", suggested_bhd_filename)

    # re-add hyphen that was removed from BHDStudio above
    suggested_bhd_filename = suggested_bhd_filename.replace(
        ".BHDStudio", "-BHDStudio"
    )

    # remove multiple '.'s from file name
    suggested_bhd_filename = re.sub(r"\.{2,}", ".", suggested_bhd_filename)
